The meeting will be held at Walmer Road Recreation Ground, Seaford. This will provide an opportunity for local residents to let us know how they feel about crime and anti-social behaviour around their local area. Representatives from Lewes District Council and Sussex Police will be available to explain the work the police and the local action team are involved in, including youth activities and community development. The meeting will generate actions for your local police team and Lewes District Council. The Police and Lewes District Council staff will be at Walmer Road Rec for about an hour, however, they will stay as long as it is necessary to listen to, and understand the issues that local residents want to raise. The meeting will also give you the opportunity to find out how people can help contribute towards making the neighbourhood safer. This is an opportunity for local people to influence what happens in the area where they live. The Council has an anti-social behaviour co-ordinator, Louisa Young who covers the whole of Lewes District. She can be contacted on 01273 484394. More information about the Lewes District Crime Reduction Partnership can be found by visiting www.lewes.gov.uk/council/362.asp or contacting Carina Hinkley on 01273 484336.
