10 October 2008: Conference for Lewes District Council Tenants

Lewes District Council in conjunction with Tenants of Lewes District (TOLD) will be hosting its fourth annual conference for tenants and leaseholders on Saturday 18 October from 10am to 3pm.

The day will cover a range of housing issues including a new system for allocating housing and details of what the Council and tenants are trying to do to address a shortfall in funding for maintenance and repairs.

Jane Marshall Vice Chair of TOLD said “We are hoping this years conference will be even bigger and better than last years, with interesting workshops on matters of importance to all tenants. Our conferences also offer a great opportunity for tenants to meet and discuss ideas on improving their communities, as well as being able to ask questions of the Housing Department staff”.

The conference will be held at The Southover Building, South Downs College, Mountfield Road, Lewes. Lunch is provided and transport can be arranged.
