The purpose of this survey is to find out what issues concern local people and what they think about the services they receive from a range of agencies including the County Council, borough and district councils, the Police, Fire and Rescue Service and Primary Care Trusts. Working together to make cost and efficiency savings, Lewes District Council along with East Sussex County Council and the other district and borough councils in East Sussex have selected Ipsos MORI, an independent market research company to carry out the survey on their behalf. Between the end of September and the beginning of December 2008, 3,000 randomly selected households in the Lewes District will be sent a copy of the survey. This gives everyone an equal chance of taking part and ensures that a good cross section of residents is involved. Any member of the household aged over 18 can fill in the questionnaire. If your household is selected this is your opportunity to have your say about life in the local area. It is important that we hear your views about topics such as affordable housing, facilities for young children, crime and anti social behaviour and public transport so that we can put our resources where they really matter. These results will help us to work together to address issues of local concern and to see how and where our services can be improved. The results of this survey will be available from February 2008. This survey replaces the Best Value User Satisfaction Surveys that were carried out every three years. The results of the 2003 and 2006 User Satisfaction Surveys can be viewed on the East Sussex in Figures website. If you haven’t been selected this time there are other opportunities for you get involved and make your views known. See the Have Your Say section of our website. |
