1 September 2008: "Isn't it Bonkers!" Family Fun day

Everyone is welcome to the ‘Isn’t it Bonkers!’ Family Fun Day on Saturday 20th September. A first for Peacehaven, this exciting day is at the Dell on the South Coast Road from 10am – 4pm. This promises to be a fun day out for all the family and is also a great opportunity to learn more about living sustainably and saving money too.

Admission is free and you will be able to sample a choice of local food and drink whilst enjoying:
• Street dance
• Music and theatre
• Solar car grand prix
• Cooking demos
• Seed swapping
• Workshops
• Films, arts and crafts, displays
• Energy and money saving advice

Eddie Collict, Lead Councillor for the Environment at Lewes District Council said, “It’s very heartening to see so many organisations working together to put on such a worthwhile event. I encourage as many local residents as possible to come along and enjoy the day!”

“Isn’t it Bonkers!” is a collaboration between Lewes District Council, REGEN (Regeneration Peacehaven and Telscombe), Oxfam, Developing Communities project, Common Cause, East Sussex County Council and Peacehaven Town Council.

Join the free Big Lemon bus service which will be picking up from bus stops between Newhaven and Peacehaven on the day.  A truly environmentally way to travel, the Big Lemon bus runs on locally sourced used cooking oil. For more information visit http://www.thebiglemon.com/

There will also be a “Hail a Free Mini-bus” service to the Dell operating on smaller roads in Peacehaven and Telscombe Cliffs on the day.
