Explosives - fireworks

Under the Explosives Act 1875 (as amended), you need to register if you store or sell explosives at your premises.  A Trading Standards Enforcement Officer will visit your premises on one or more occasions to ensure you are complying with all the regulations.  Failure to register can lead to prosecution and a fine of up to £5,000.

Environmental Health Officers are responsible for taking action to ensure that landlords carry out fire-proofing work to houses in multiple occupation i.e. houses occupied by more than one household.
