Scrap Metal Dealers Act 1964

To apply for registration please contact the Environmental Health Department on 01273 484358 or e-mail ehealth@lewes.gov.uk.

There is no charge for registration and on receipt of a completed application form the Administrative Manager will recommend or reject approval of the licence.

Once approved the licence and a copy of the conditions will be sent to you.  These conditions must be adhered to at all times.

Registration is renewable on a three-yearly basis from the date of issue.  A reminder letter and renewal form will be sent to you prior to expiry of the current registration.
